LivePlus workshops and ArtTalk fees Your fee covers tuition during the times as shown for each session. The full fee is payable on booking to secure your place. Please note that materials for workshops are not included in the fee. For some workshops, a materials kit can be purchased from the tutor. Bookings and payment can be made online, or by phone and include VAT (VAT registration no. 174 2649 91).
To participate in our online sessions it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the following:
a computer or laptop or tablet with a fully updated browser, all in fully working order
an up to date email address (preferably not a work related or 'info@' one which sometimes reject external emails as spam)
an adequate and reliable internet connection sufficient to join this type of session which involves video
a microphone and camera, usually integrated into your device, or a webcam and headset attached separately
Please note that ardington academy cannot accept any responsibility for technical outages of your internet system or equipment. If Zoom conferencing suffers an outage during the scheduled time for your workshop, we will reschedule that session.
Copyright and intellectual property protection All sessions and videos are password protected. Your fee covers you only (see also Transferring your booking below), and you alone will be authenticated on joining the session and you alone will be sent the follow up video links. The sharing of video conference links, joining instructions and passwords is strictly prohibited. This is necessary to protect the intellectual property and copyrights of ardington academy and our tutors. Violation of intellectual property rights, called "infringement" with respect to copyright, and trademarks, may be a breach of civil law or criminal law, depending on the type of intellectual property involved, jurisdiction, and the nature of the action. We will take action if violation occurs.
Cancellation policy Our cancellation policy is designed to give customers some freedom to change a booking, but there are certain conditions to be met. We strongly recommend that you familiarise yourself with our terms of cancellation below before booking:
Cancellation by student
If you have to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible. Your booking will be considered cancelled from the time at which you inform us of your wish to cancel
If, for any reason, you cancel your booking more than one calendar month before the start of the session, the fee will be refunded, minus the following deposit: LivePlus single workshop: £20 LivePlus series workshops: £45
No refunds can be made and no transfers will be offered to those who cancel, for whatever reason, within one calendar month of the start of the session
No refunds will be made if you cancel an ArtTalk but you can give your place to someone else (please let us know their name)
No reductions or refunds are available to students arriving late or leaving early
Transferring your booking You can transfer your place on a session to another person at any point before it starts, or you can transfer to another session of your choice in the current calendar year, subject to availability, up to one calendar month before the start of the session for which you originally booked, at no extra charge (unless the new session has a higher cost in which case you will need to pay any difference). Should you need to cancel or transfer less than one calendar month before the start of a session, your fee cannot be transferred. Our cancellation policy applies.
Please note: In the interests of fairness, this policy applies equally to all ardington academy students, regardless of circumstances. No exceptions will be made. If this is of concern to you, you might like to consider cancellation insurance. Cancellation by ardington academy Occasionally we may need to cancel a session due to low enrolment. We will give you at least one weeks notice where possible. If your session is cancelled you can transfer to another, subject to availability, at no extra charge, (unless the new course has a higher cost in which case you will need to pay any difference). Alternatively, we will refund your fee in full. If we need to cancel for any other reason, such as tutor illness, you will receive a full refund of your fee and be given as much notice as possible in the circumstances. If you paid for the course using gift vouchers, these will be reinstated.
In the event of cancellation, the school will not reimburse for materials bought.
Change of content or tutor Every effort will be made to run sessions as advertised. However, there may be occasions when we have to change the session detail and/or tutors for similar and equal quality. If this should happen, we reserve the right to make these changes; no reductions or refunds are available and our cancellation policy applies.
Photographs On occasion we will take photographs of work produced in workshops for promotional use on the website and in advertising. If you would rather we didn't use the photographs of your work please tell us in advance.
Mailing List If you provide your email address on the Subscribe Form, you consent to us transferring it to MailChimp who we use to send you newsletters and offers. Our newsletters include school updates, course information and special sale offers from Ardington School of Crafts and ardington academy. You can opt out of this at any time by simply using the 'Unsubscribe' button in the newsletters or contacting us at the school.
